I have a PC with a Ryzen 7 5800X CPU (3.9GHz), 2x M.2 SSDs of 1TB each, a RT3070 GPU. I used to use 2x 8Gb DDR4 RAM modules at 3200MHz, but I switched to these Crucial 2x 16Gb DDR4 RAM modules at 3200MHz. With this change I have been able to give my PC a break because in the last year I have started to edit videos in 4k quality.
DDR means a double data rate (for every cycle, there will be two transfers in DDR). Although the 3600 MHz RAM is faster in terms of speed (frequency) than 3200 MHz, this doesn’t guarantee the performance you might be looking for. You also have to consider the overall computer specs and other factors.
The good news is G.Skill has come out with the Flare X and FORTIS DDR4 memory series that were both designed specifically for AMD Ryzen platforms. G.SKILL Flare X Series 16GB DDR4 3200MHz AMD
depends on how good of memory you get. i got a ddr3 1600 kit that i cant get to go to even 1833 or whatever it is. if you get samsung b die and a good kit you should be able to. but if you can get say a 4000mhz cl19 for $200 or a 3200mhz cl16 for around $190 might as well get the 4000mhz. that is if they are both the same size memory kit. also
