I have a 2000 X type 3.0 v6 in my workshop wich will not rev. t starts and idles but will not rev above 3000rpm without what seems to be limiting. I have testde fuel pressure and removed the blocked cats. New plugs and an air flow meter have only made it start and idle better but still not drivable. What was happening was that the clutch would disengage when the pedal was pressed but would not immediately engaged when the pedal was released. when the clutch decided to engage, it did so violently that the car stalled.
